Ilona Henry - San Pedro

These are the words of evangelist Ilona Henry Afamefuna, detailing his missions work in SanPedro, Ivory Coast, Africa as of April 12, 2005.

Dearly Beloved In Christ Jesus. Greetings in the most wonderful precious name of Jesus.

Iam writing this letter with an outflow of the joy of heaven, for all the things God did in Sanpedro where I went to preach the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ Yeshua Hama-Shiach, the King of all kings and the Lord of all lords.

The people of Sanpedro knew that the Lord Jesus, He is God indeed. Beloved after undergoing seven days of dry fasting and prayer ( but I was drinking much water for my stomach sake), at the end of the seventh day, the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said; Henry, Henry, you must arise immediately and go to sanpedro and declare the word, for I have my people there who have forgotten me, and Iam no more existing in their hearts and they taught I have forgotten them.

Then I said, but Lord I don't know anyone in Sanpedro, where will I lodge and spend the days I will be staying there, how will I do about feeding, Lord you know that Iam not financially buoyant, infact Lord.......?

Then the Holy Spirit said to me again, who owns the universe, who has created all these things, is not the whole earth mine, why should you be asking me stupid questions, have I disappointed one day, have you forgotten so soon, don't remember what I did in Agnibilekro?

Arise and go to Sanpedro, for I will go before you and prepare the way, do not fear, for I the Lord who has called you, Iam always with you, arise and go and deliver my people, Iam with you.

With these words, I immediately picked courage and started preparing. As I was going, I took bibles ( Old & New Testament), CDs, Audio cassettes, tracts, pamphlets, booklets, books and other gospel materials both in English and french.

The Lord told me that night to call one of my spiritual sons at Daloa, for he will give me a contact of the person I will be lodging in his house. When I called him on the mobile, he told me that the person he know is living with a harlot, I was discouraged, but the Holy Spirit spoke to me again, he is living with a harlot is none of your business, go and do not waste time. After long hours of parking those gospel materials and arranging them, early morning of Saturday-26th of march-2005, I bade good bye to friends and well wishers and took off to Sanpedro.

The journey was a long one, because it took almost seven hours from Abidjan to Sanpedro.

With all the checking points on the high way, the hand of the Lord was upon me, the police and gendarme did not disturb me, for they saw Schekinah glory shining all over me.

When I reached sanpedro, I called the boy whom I will lodge in his house to come and pick me from the park.

That evening as we sat down, he asked me about my mission, I told him everything.

He gave a very big laugh, I was looking at him with every bewilderment, I was asking my self what kind of laugh is this all about.

He said to me, pastor, pastor, you came to establish a church?

I said no, I did not come to establish any church, but to preach Jesus the Son of the Most High God.

It was then he explained some terrible things to me.

He said, mmmhhhhh, the first person came here, claiming to be a pastor, we housed him, and at the end, he stole our money and fled, he stole 400,000 FCFA, which is equivalent to $850, not only that the second person came we also lodged him, at the end he stole 800,000 FCFA from the people who lodged him, which is equivalent to $2000, he continued, the third pastor came here, he said we should buy a BMW executive car before he will minister to us, not only that Man of God, the last one also came here, he started a church, we taught he was a true servant of God, we rented a place for him to be conducting services, we bought a musical band for him, before we knew what was happening he duped so many people here in the name of sending them to America and Europe, they gave him millions of FCFA, he sold the band and fled to Liberia, pastor or whatever you called yourself, I don't think anyone will listen to you.

At this point I got mad with God and said, why on earth should you send me to a place where your name has been soiled by these wolves, God why, why, why, why?

Then the Holy Spirit spoke to me again, don't listen to him, all he is saying is true, but I sent you here for a purpose.

Filled with the Holy Spirit, I looked intently into his eyes and said with a loud voice, I have come to this place in the name of Jesus Christ-Yeshua Hama-Shiach, I fear no evil, I fear no scandal, in the name of my God I will accomplish my mission and no power will stop me, Iam an agent of divine change, a builder of the waste and ruined walls, for this is my identity and calling. On the Sunday been the following day, I attended a church that is run by an English speaking person, After the service and introduction and so on and so forth, they promised to give me their maximum support.

The boy I lodged in his house was about to travel for his father's funeral, he told me that his brothers and all the family members are accusing him that their father died because of him, that he is travelling with uncertainty. As he was talking, I was filled with the Holy Spirit and I said to him, young man go and do not fear, the Lord who has sent me to this place, his angel will before you and prepare the way, you will know by this that a man of God is in your house.

I told him by prophecy that all his brothers, sister and family members will welcome him with joy, and they will not speak good or evil to him, but will speak favourably to him, if this does not come to pass, then let it be known unto you that it was not the Lord that sent me to this place.

I prayed for him and anointed him with the olive oil.

Beloved, all these things were happening between Saturday evening and the whole day of Sunday.

Then on the Monday, it was time for the battle, I took my megaphone and some gospel materials and then dashed out like a mad man.

Those so called brothers who took me to their church showed interest at the beginning, they followed me all that Monday, yes in the market places, on the streets, on the roads, bus stops, taxe garage, housed, quarters, I was on fire preaching the gospel, sharing tracts, booklets and other gospel materials, the people where bewildered to see a young man preaching the gospel publicly, this has never happened before in Sanpedro.

I was shouting on top of my voice, repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand, let each and everyone of you depart from his wicked ways and return to God.

As I was preaching beloved, the Holy Spirit was seriously convicting the people of their sin and unrighteousness, it was a gospel pan aroma.

I will preach, and then at the same time singing some songs, as I was singing those songs, the peoples hearts began to melt ( but tell me who withstand the Holy Spirit?)

That night some people came to the place where I was lodging for prayers, when you look at them, you will weep bitterly, because almost all of the English speaking people in Sanpedro are living with prostitutes, who will go out in the night and do prostitution and feed them with those dirty money, where by bringing curses on themselves, beloved it was pitiable sight.

After preaching to them, I told them that they have to change or perish. Beloved, to their greatest surprise, I brought ten quality bible containing the old and new Testament, CDs, Audio cassettes, books, booklets, pamphlets and tracts, I will package each bible with those Gospel materials to give them, as I was about to give them those materials, they asked me, please pastor are you selling them, I said God forbid evil that I should sell them to you, Iam not selling them, Iam giving them to you free of charge, as they were receiving those precious gifts, they said of a truth God sent you here to deliver us, you are the only person who have came here with the love of God in his heart. Beloved, it was latter that I learnt that none of them has a bible and they don't go to church.

As they went out, the news got around all over the town, come and see an evangelist that gave us free bibles, before I knew what was happening, people were flooding to the place where I was lodging, and all them that came received a bible with gospel materials to help him or her start the journey to eternal life with Christ Jesus.

One evening, a boy that I gave Linda Peref audio cassette message, came and said to me, as I was listening to the message of that woman, I was touched by the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

So many bibles, CDs, booklets, books and other gospel materials were distributed free of charge to people.

The three major Audio messages that were distributed are:
Exploring Life In Heaven, by Rose Marting, of Eternal Life Skills Ministries, her CDs touched so many lives.
Free Worship, by Dan Williams, of Lexington Baptist Church, those worship CDs ministered to a lot of people.
Miracles Crusades, by Linda Peref, of Linda Peref Ministries, those audio cassettes caused havoc in the kingdoms of darkness.
Roy Sauzek's mechanics of salvation which I translated to french blessed the few who were privileged to have it.
Beloved, do you know that these false brethren taught I came with millions of money, disappointed me on the third day, what really happened? On the Tuesday, I told them that I cannot continue to use radio battery, that I came with 12 volt motorcycle battery, that we will not be evangelizing on Tuesday, because I have to get the battery charged. They did not say anything to me, that evening one called Victor, a talkative and a very cunning man called me and said that others are complaining that they cannot leave their business and be following me, that this, that, that this. I looked at him and said, did I force anybody to follow me, even you guys disappoint me, God will never. From that day onward, all of them left me, but God permitted it for a purpose, you will see the reason why all these things happened, that it might be fulfilled, which was written in the book of Romans.8:28-31, 28. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. 31. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

It was latter that someone told me that Victor and the rest of his cohorts were complaining that they are not evangelists, why should they be following me, after all how much will I give them. At hearing this I was downcasted in my spirit, then the Holy Spirit spoke again to me, do not be discouraged, I sent you not them. For complete three days I could not do anything, because I needed someone to help me in carrying the bag of materials that I do go out with, at the end of three days, the Holy Spirit spoke and said, why are you wasting time, come on take how many tracts you can and go out and continue your work, leave the rest to me, I will send people who will work with you, don't fear, have I not told you in advance that Iam with you? That day in the morning I took my bath hung on my megaphone and battery and dashed out as usual and began preaching, beloved, the Lord led me to a college school compound, as I was preaching, all the students ran out and as they were coming out, they were saying give us tracts, give us tracts, before I knew what was happening, almost three hundred tracts finished. Then the Holy Spirit ministered to me, this is just beginning, I will do wonders here. The next day I came in contact with a photographer, a very young boy, after discussing with his master, he said anywhere you want him to go with you, he is at your command, with those words, a little shinny smile came all over my face, I now knew that the Lord is with me. Beloved, that evening, I took my megaphone and as I was preaching, I don't think I ministered up to three minutes, I heard sound in my megaphone, all could was smoke coming out of the megaphone, after examining it, we found out that the megaphone has burnt, I wept bitterly in my heart. As I was weeping in my heart, The Holy Spirit spoke to me, stop weeping, Iam with you in this journey, this is just the enemy's attack, because you are liberating his captives, I will turn it out to your victory, stop crying my son. Beloved, these false brethren were rejoicing in their hearts, thinking that will be the end of the whole things, they were watching for the day I will pack up and with an unfulfilled mission and bade good bye. I wrote to Donna Bosn and explained everything to her, I knew she interceded on my behalf with other brethren, may God bless her. For complete four days I could not minister, because no megaphone, but before I knew what was happening, two megaphone came all the way from Abidjan to sanpedro for me, because when I phoned my two spiritual sons and told them what happened, they said this is nothing but the enemy's attack, we will send you megaphone, we are praying for. When those megaphone came, those false brethren who taught everything is over were filled with shame and disgrace, for my God did not let me down in the presence of them that hate me, as it is written in the book of Psalm.18:13-34: 13.The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire. 14.Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them. 15.Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils. 16.He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters. 17.He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me. 18.They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay. 19.He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me. 20.The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me. 21.For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God. 22.For all his judgements were before me, and I did not put away his statutes from me. 23.I was also upright before him, and I kept myself from mine iniquity. 24.Therefore hath the LORD recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight. 25.With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright; 26.With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward. 27.For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks. 28.For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness. 29.For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall. 30.As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. 31.For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God? 32.It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect. 33.He maketh my feet like hinds' feet, and setteth me upon my high places. 34.He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.

Beloved, it was then that the real evangelism began, one of the megaphone has a louder enviromental voice loud, everywhere I preached the gospel, there remote areas where I went to preach the gospel, I saw a woman in need and I gave her 2000 FCFA which is equivalent to $2, when I gave her the money, she was filled with happiness, at least that will take her and her children for two days. by this time the young photographer confessed and said of a truth you are a man of God and you have a heart of love in you. Beloved, by this time I have been exhausted, because preaching under the sun is not a joke, the type of sun that shines in Sanpedro is really hot, but that did not stop me from preaching the gospel. What about the banner? all this time it has not been lifted, because only me and the photographer could not do it. As I was contemplating on the whole things, the Holy Spirit spoke to me again and said, Henry, you need one million people to help you and lift a banner, I immediately understood what the Holy Spirit is saying, that morning, I called some people around and we lifted the banner in front of a mosque against Islamism. Beloved, when I came back in the afternoon to take my rest, the girl friend of the boy I lodged in his told me that a pastor came and asked after me. I taught it was that pastor that I went to his church the first week, but no, it was another different person all together. After ten minutes, the same pastor came back again, the lady told me this is the man looking for you, and to my discovery he was a Ghanaian pastor from Ghana, but doing pastoral work in Sanpedro. I welcomed him, after the greetings he said are you the evangelist, I said yes with a shaking voice thinking there is a problem. He said to me, I saw preaching the gospel, I heard the song you were singing, Jesus is lifted high and Satan is brought low. At this time, I was filled with joy, he said that the Lord ministered to him to come and help me. I showed the banner that I came with, he said will you like to come go to Gabiadji and preach the gospel and lift the banner there? The Holy Spirit spoke and said to me, go and lift the royal banner of Jesus Christ Yesua Hama-Shiach, Iam going ahead of you to prepare the way. We made the plans of how we will go, the following day as we have prepared to go, the rain started falling hard, the pastor and one brother whom God brought on my way with the photographer were discouraged, they said let us leave it for tomorrow, I said to them that nothing on earth will stop me from going to Gabiadji and preach the gospel and lift up the royal banner. I said to them this is the devil's trick, the rain is not falling in Gabiadji, he is using this trick to stop us, let's go. Beloved, we took off from Sanpedro to Gabiadji, and as I told them, that was how it happened, we reached Gabiadji and everywhere was sunny. When we landed at Gabiadji with the banner and the gospel materials we went with, as I hung on the megaphone on my shoulder to preach, the microphone spoilt immediately, I turned to the two and told them what has happened, they said what shall we do, I told them, even if the devil will destroy the microphone, he cannot destroy my voice, I said hey, my voice is louder than megaphone. But glory be to God, we immediately found someone who helped us and we bought a new microphone. Immediately I opened my mouth and began preaching, as we lifted the banner, so many people came out to hear the gospel, all the tracts and Saint Johns' gospel booklets with other gospel materials we went it were distributed. Beloved, this village is a demon dominated village. We went to people living on top of the valley who are farmers and preached the gospel, I went into some remote areas and declared Jesus. Then the pastor told me that I will be ministering in his church on Sunday before I will go back to Abidjan. That Sunday, I and the other brother were invited, as we entered the church auditorium, the place this people were having service was in a wooding house with mouldy floor and yet this people were worshipping God with a heart full of joy and gladness. Then the Lord spoke to me and said, do you see that in every situation there are they that still faithful unto me? This people in their poverty loved God with all their hearts, beloved arise and help me financially, there are so many souls that are perishing in those interiors, so many of them do not go to church, because there is no church there. After the praises and worship, the pastor introduced me, and said to his congregation, God has sent us an evangelist here who came all the way from Abidjan to declare Jesus, we are happy to have him minister pray and deliverance to us, you are welcomed man of God. As I was staring at the congregation, the Lord opened my eyes to see that there are so many hungry and needy souls in their midst. The Holy Spirit said to me, this people will know that Iam He that sent you, for I will move in their midst saith the Lord. Beloved, after speaking for some minutes to them, I told them to stand to stand up for it is time for power to change hand. Beloved, as I lifted up my two hands towards the congregation, I told them to begin singing a song in the Ghana language, as they began to sing, the anointing power began to flow, demons started crying out, I moved towards a woman who was possessed by marine spirits, the Holy Spirit spoke up in me and said, you fowl spirits I command in the mighty name of Jesus, come out of her and those demons went out of her at the mention of the name of Jesus Christ Yeshua Hama-Shiach. ( But every knee shall bow at the mention of the name of Jesus). Beloved, the power of the anointing of the Holy Spirit was seen naked in the midst of the people, I will be attaching so many pictures with this mail, for the church ministration, I put on a black spectacle, so it will be different from the evangelism and banner lifting pictures. WOW, the Schekina glory came down in the congregation, people with every kind of demonic problems were delivered and freed as the Schekina glory descended in the midst of the congregation of the people. (Who can battle with the Lord?) Women who were possessed by demonic spirits were crying on top of the voices, I went with a full bottle of anointing oil, I was praying and laying my hands on them anointing them with the olive oil, there was a woman I laid my hands on her head, she melted under the anointing and see tears running down from her eyes. In the pictures you will see a very tiny man I laid my hands on him, this man was possessed by the spirit of death, but after praying and laying my hands on him, the evil spirit left him and he was free. What about the men, the Holy Spirit brought them to their knees. As the whole thing was going on, I saw a woman who was down with terrible decease, after anointing her with oil and praying for her, the decease went off and she was healed, everybody in the congregation was astonished and the move of the Holy Spirit, I told her go and sin no more. A man who sick of stomach ulcer, with demonic attacks, after anointing him with the olive oil, I gave him some to drink, immediately he was healed. The first day I arrived at sanpedro, I prayed for a man with ear problem, the pains in his ear melted off and he was healed. Beloved, the little place where this people are having their church service was filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, and every corner was charged with the Holy Ghost dynamic electrifying current, and every soul was touched. Another tremendous thing happened in that service, as I was ministering in the spirit, the Holy Spirit spoke through, there are some women here, the Lord is calling to come and work in His vineyard, but you are running away, what is holding you from answering His glorious call? After speaking, everywhere was quiet, nobody made a move, I said within my self, am I erring?, the Holy Spirit spoke to me, don't be discouraged, I will bring them out right now. Then I spoke in a loud voice and said, HOLY GHOST, BRING THEM OUT, WHITHER SOEVER THEY ARE. Beloved, to my utter amazement, the hall caught on fire again, one women and shouted and came running out, immediately another began weeping, saying Lord, Lord, Lord, I surrender. Almost five women were brought under the power of the anointing, including the pastor's wife. At this point, the people knew that of a truth, the Lord is the one that sent me on this journey. I laid my hands on them and prayed for them to receive power from above. After the whole thing, I snicked out quietly. At the end of the service, some of the church members came to where I was lodging with smiles all over their faces, and saying thank you, thank, you, I said to them no, Jesus owns the thanks and not me. Beloved, the way this people received me, they received me like an angel. Oh, a prophet has Honor except in his own country. The boy I lodged in his house, was shouting on top of his voice, this is a man of God, this is the only preacher that came here and gave us so many gospel materials free of charge, others came stole from us, he came and invested himself into us. My house is blessed, my house is blessed, pastor we want you to come back again. I discussed with this pastor, there are so many areas where God has opened doors for us to go and preach the word, but beloved, I lack materials and finance. let me mention some of these places to you: Danani, Sassandra, Miadji, Dagadji, Dabou, Soubre,Moussadougu,etc. Beloved, these places are still in darkness, please I need complete bibles in French and English containing the Old and New Testament, Books, booklets, CDs, VCDs, Audio Cassettes, Tracts, Pamphlets, Magazines,and bible literatures in French and In English language. Beloved, Don't send English tracts I have enough of them here, look for french tracts, pamphlets, booklets and send them to me. I made some photocopies of them ( that is the french version), all them that read it were blessed. Beloved, it is time that this generation hear about Jesus, if you are thinking that everywhere has been evangelized, you are making a very big mistake. There are so many places in Ivory Coast here, where the people are still living in mud houses, and the Lord is telling me everyday, Henry, you are my mouth and light to them, will I disobey the heavenly vision?
