Run To The Ocean

Hit upside the head
By an explorer
A young attractive
Complexity
Kid at heart
Duties on the agenda

Wishing to play in the sand
Talking with a close friend at her side
Pulled back by "need to be here"
Hindered by the atrocities of life
Such weight hidden - told only to the trusted
"LET ME RUN TO THE OCEAN!"

So slender and attractive
Is she ever sure of motives
Can she trust an elusive man
Can she trust someone new
That look SCREAMS Y-E-S!
But time alone annunciates the call.

Lord, hold her hand this night
And free her mind for the morn
One last call, one last chance
To accept my gentle hand
A fading opportunity
To run to the ocean
